Hi Chris! How are you?
– Apart from vicious jet lag the best I have ever been in my life.

Who is X?
– Anyone I want to be depending on my mood.

How would you describe your music?
– Badly. That’s your job, I just make it.

You’re based in Los Angeles now? What do you love/hate about the city?
– I love the light, the geography and the positivity. I used to hate it and view it as a plastic self indulgent spiritual wasteland. I was so wrong, now I absolutely love it. I have friends, a dog, the sunsets are insane and I love to be surrounded by the ”anything is possible” American attitude. The downside is you have to drive everywhere.

What’s the best piece of lyrics from your latest album, Metanoia?
– ”You power drunk fuckers are filling my head with despair. Not happiness.”

Do people sometimes confuse IAMX with IMAX?
– Yes. But I like the idea that people Google IMAX incorrectly and stumble upon this freaky project.

Besides IAMX, what music should we make sure to check out right now?
– Chopin. Always.
